The first ever Media Club of Karnataka – a platform for all who does not get membership in the individual clubs is the first outlook.

The media Club of Karnataka ® was inaugurated on Saturday evening by Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy taking out time from his hectic schedule. Doordarshan director Mahesh Joshi, Shivaramanna and others were present at the inauguration.

Situated at No.66/1 33rd cross, 7th Main, 4th Block Jayanagar – Media Club of Karnataka has evolved with three storied building and emerging in Mysore and Mangalore soon.

Headed by Siddappa Arekere as President, BN Srinath as Vice President, V Subramanian as secretary, V.Srinivas Genaral Secretary ,BH Satish as treasurer – the committee members are T Ramanna, A Raju, Anand G Ballari, SS Reddy, Kanive Nagaraj, Dr Ramesh Kamath, BM Hiyannaiah, B Ramamurthy and GS Narayana Rao.

For those who are already in the media membership is Rs.25000 and for others it is Rs.50000. Besides cultural activities, gym, games, card room etc it has already 250 members. In the coming days it is coming up with 100 seats auditorium.

On the inauguration day the Media Club of Karnataka donated Rs.50001 to Prime Minister Relief Fund. Among the social services in mind it is adopting a few villages, conducting mass marriage, helping old age, educating the poor in the society.

The registration fee, sources from card room, gym room, and canteen are at present yielding revenue to run the Media Club of Karnataka.
